It was a pretty cool movie, my friend talked me into it. I saw it expecting something like buffy the vampire slayer(which i despise).
Underworld has vampires and lycans(werewolves), and in their world where becoming a vampire/lycan is more like a virus. There was way more science than black magic. It gave it a different flavor. I reccomend this movie. I enjoyed it.

This movie was horrible.
It was one of the worst I've seen next to League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Bad Boys II and SWAT.

What the hell is it with vampires looking like Gucci models? Ugh.
The best acting in the film was Kate What's-her-face's ass.
Seriously.
Nothing here that was worth me renting.
It's a good thing this was free.
Or I would have been pissed.

From what a friend has told me, it doesn't seem worth it. It seems like a badly done Matrix with werewolves and vampyres.

I would say more about it, but most of what I'm saying is biased anyway because of what that friend told me. As well as what I've read about it. I might rent it, just so I can have bitching rights, but usually I don't like newer vampire movies.

I think Werewolf sex is more disturbing, sicne they'd be more inclinded to mimic a wolf's mating habits

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

Weird . . .very weird. . .then what vampire movies do you recomend?

At the risk of getting my taste in vampire movies slated, I liked "The Lost Boys". T'was a mildly amusing twist of a B-Movie.

Hm, I saw that movie a long time ago...it scared me when I saw it. Then again, I was like, seven or eight and not very strong-minded. Anyway, "From Dusk Till Gone" is pretty good, just the first one though. I find it to be truly awesome...plus one of the characters is named Seth (das mah name).

2 words, copywrite infringement. between the original writer of the story, and whitewolf, that movie made more money for other people than it did for the people involved in the movie itself. and that was because a handfull of depressing cry baby hot topic teens with rich parents thought it would be cool to dress like a vampire and buy their movie on vhs.

Underworld's story was a little drawn out and dry, but the atmosphere, scenery, acting and action were all pretty well done. Except for that lame shot where the Lycan Wolf bites at the camera, which happened in two different shots. It would be better if there was more action. A cool shot was when she spun around and shot a hole in the floor to escape the werewolves.

They're making a sequel based in the middle ages...

Underworld Evolution is slated for December 9th, 2005 (may change).

General Story Details:
The movie is said to start by awakening Marcus, who will start a massive war between the Vampires and the Lycans (werewolves). Upcominghorrormovies.com says there will be 15 minutes of a war taking place in the middle ages, with castles, horseback and the two sides battling each other.

I thought the first one was pretty slick in terms of style and the theme was cool. Just wish there was more action. (I'm a fan of Blade 1 and 2, but Blade Trinity was weak since Blade was second to the Nightstalkers. He didn't even have his own end fight scene with Drake without the camera cutting to Hannibal King. Bad editing ruined this "Blade" final film.)

The movie to me was good. It's a not what you'd call to have super-super visuals. But how the twist in the plot and different outlook in dark characters coming to clash that I thought was interesting.

Suspend logic for me?!? Sure why not!

I enjoyed it very much. Definately worth the three dollars to rent. It did have sort of a Matrix feel to it...but who cares? I like originality as much as the next guy...and this movie did have some originality to it with the great plot and storyline.
