Reruns have begun... Old Fri May 25, 2007 6:02:41 AM #38466 Perm Link
...and I was quite happy to catch an episode of Scrubs last night that I had missed the first time around. What a hoot to watch the cast perform as a Broadway musical.

I hate the summer because of reruns. Thank goodness I am outside alot and don't catch alot of TV in the summer because to me summer reruns are boring.

I love the Scrubs musical. But then I love musicals and I love Scrubs, so it wasn't exactly a risky bet.

It's a pity that the networks don't bother showing something new over the summer, because even if you are out doing stuff you're bound to be home sitting on the couch browsing for TV shows to waste you time at some point.

A good bet is to find a show you never/rarely watch and watch it over summer. It'll play reruns, but it won't bother you since you've never seen them before. Plus you find a new show to watch, which is always nice.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

That's actually my plan for this summer, if you can have a rerun plan without being a total dork. Some networks-mostly cable-do show new stuff over the summer. I think the 4400 comes back in June.

The 4400 is something to look forward to. Also, Psyche, Eureka and Doctor Who. I think possible Torchwood as well.

I happened to see that some of the shows that go on hiatus during the summer are acutually coming back in the middle of June. That's kind of early for the new shows to start up. My friend was telling me that this is something new the networks are trying and that during the season they will have a couple of weeks that will be reruns to make up for the shorter hiatus during the summer.

There are many shows that I don't regularly watch during the season. So, I don't mind catching reruns because they are "new to me". I do wish that they would give some new shows a try, though. Oftentimes there seems to be *nothing* worth watching on TV during the summertime.

I actually appreciate reruns, because I usually miss a few episodes during the regular season. It is my time to catch up.

We don't watch a lot of regular TV, mostly things on Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Food Network, and things like that. So when summer reruns come on, I can hopefully catch some of the stuff I missed during the regular season.

The food network's Racheal Ray is taking over the world. But seriously that new Brunette do has go to go.

What I hate more than reruns is Christmas in July. Then you know that the stations have run out of ideas. I think instead of Christmas stuff they need to play old shows we'd forgotten about. But it does help remind you to save money for the holidays or buy stuff ahead of time and out of season which would be cheaper.

Christmas in July doesn't make sense. Except that it's a conspiracy to get kids thinking about all the things to put on their Christmas list and start bugging their parents about.

I think christmas specials in July would help remind everyone the spirit isn't limited to the season alone.

Now I'm older, I start thinking of it that way haha...as a kid, I would get mad because I wanted some new cartoons or something, I didn't want to be teased with Christmas being months away.

I used to perform as a professional Santa and have done quite a few Christmas in July parties. I like the summer outfits on the women a whole lot better.
