I'm installing my (LEGAL) copy of Ultimate tomorrow evening. I will be installing Oblivion as well as Company of Heroes on it and seeing how she runs.

I, personally, am very excited about the possibilities Vista provides for PC gaming.

And what are those that any other operating system can't?

Um... lets see.

Live Anywhere (acheivement points, live arcade, etc, but for the PC)
Games for Windows (requirement list set by microsoft to make PC gaming more accesable to console players)
Windows Vista (has a more gamer oriented structure)

I think, that if Microsoft plays their cards right, and they release a good Service Pack, that Vista could be an incredibly awesome OS.

No thanks. The OS should not do this type of thing.

I'm not placing my trust in Microsoft nor do I like that they are forcing publishers to get logos for their boxes for money.

First off, what SHOULD an OS do? What is your definitiion of a good OS?

And as for forcing publishers to get logos on their boxes, they aren't forcing anyone. All they are doing is making a list of requirements that companies have to follow in order for their game to be eligible for the Live Anywhere program. They aren't unreasonable demands, the main ones is that they must be compatible with the 360 controller, they must have a user friendly installer, and they must be compatible with 64 bit versions of windows.
