My friend plays, he is only a lvl 12 or something. I'll post his info here when I get it. I tried playing, I don't like MMORPGs that much.

now we play it everyday. WoW and crack are very similar both are highly addictive and you can die from using it to much

I'm with Aron on this one. I'm really turned off to any MMOs that you have to pay monthly for.

of course it is! you just havent smoked it yet, and your lvl 37 and a druid that shit is boring. Most people Ive known have made it to like 40 and said this sucks, because the real shit is in your high 50's to 60. then it gets good if you know how to play your class u can own face. Anyways I can tell/prove to you that it can be compared to crack.

And for the people about the whole pay monthly shit, If we didnt pay monthly it wouldnt be as good, its $15 that goes to workers, and funding new servers, how else would they keep everything up ( Viagra ). Most Free MMO's may have the gameplay but not the graphics or the widescale PvE raiding and PvP that wow pumps out. And graphics for one. If WoW was a free MMO it wouldnt be as wide-scaled as it is spanning from US all the way over to japan its everywhere. It has over 6million people now I think that play this game and they have no prob with it. Its just a matter of how you play it and experience it. For me I went on to have two 60's that I lvld from 1 and I keep intrested in the game on the people that u meet and the raiding. It eats time too so its something to do when your sitting at home fondling. Ok

Great avatar, Bomb.

I really don't want to pay $15 per month. Most of that is profit. Do you know that the people in China pay about 1/10th of that? Yeah...

China isn't run by Blizzard. They sold rights to the game to a company over there. That company does not offer any monthly subscripitions. Gamers in China pay $.05 an hour for WoW, so it is cheaper, unless you are playing over 300 hours a month. Considering that most people in China cannot afford thier own computer and use internet cafe's to access the internet and play games and such and that the company running the game runs several other MMO's they likely just continued to use the same pricing plan they had in place instead.

I can understand with Game costing Money to Develop and Cost of Upgrading and Maintaining Servers But I disagree with the FACT that If I Purchase a game for $50 to $60 Bucks
Then I have to PAY $15 Dollars a Month to Play that’s $180 Dollars a year plus the $50 to $60 Bucks for the Game That is over $230 for the first year to play a single game and not to mention the monthly cost of your ISP, No thanks I will stick with my Xbox Live its only $50 a year and I can go online with more that one game.

Hey they do give you a free month and the game is down to $40 now, although I do think the game box should be cheaper still at this point. It's easy to cancel, if you do cancel you still keep all of your characters indefinaltly should you want to come back so there is no hard sell trying to keep you as a member. I can't tell you how many $50 games I have bought that haven't kept me entertained for a month. I dunno, its not an obscene ammount of money IMHO, between that and my netflix subscription I have my entertainment pretty much covered. You can also get a free 10 day trial if you would like to try before buying. If anyone wants a trial PM with with your email address.

I don't find it boring, but OK.
I have self-control =\ or maybe I just can't sit and do one with for a long period of time...or I don't like playing with other people (which I know contridicts the point of an MMORPG), so it takes me longer to do with because I refuse to group. But that's just me.

Hm...We don't pay monthly. We pay annually. So...sort of monthly, but all at once. So...uh, nevermine then XD

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

You really must not be playing much at all if you are only 11 after months of playing, the first 10 levels go by awfully quick. If you've done it before you can get a character to level 10 in a couple hours or less. It does take a bit longer when you are first figuring out the game though

I played quite a bit when i first got it. Not constantly or anything, I usually played acouple hours after I got home from work. It gave me something to do while the significant other was watching american idol or some other god awful crap.

I got my druid up to level 50 in about 6 months or so. a llittle before that I moved into my current apartment with 2 other people that play. After a few weeks I noticed I talked to my roomates (while we are all sitting int he same apartment) more over WoW than in person which just seemd wrong, so I quit to spend my WoW time going out, socializing and drinking etc instead.

I came back after 6 months of not playing and leveled my char to 60. Playing at level 60 is fun, it does force you to get in a guild and co-operate with others if you want to play the end-game content much of which require larges groups of 20 -40 people, which I find entertaining, but it does require large chunks of time at least once or twice a week. Those end-game isntances can tkae 4 or 5 hours to complete, but generally there are always standby and latecomers to take your place if you cant stand sitting at your computer for that long all at once.

o see its not as much addicting as it sets you into a frame of mind that makes it addicting.

At my worst, i was in such a frame of mind that if I wasnt playing, I felt like I was falling behind and was allways pissed when I had to stop and do something else. Although when you think about how it really dont matter your falling behind, your frame of mind makes you still feel like your falling back.

My friends are pressuring me to play again, i dont want to for the sake of my slight social life I have resurected from the last time i quit WoW

Handle both, I raid at night, pvp all day till my friends want to chill or I want to do something. You got to manage it. Its fun to meet the people from all over and raid 3 to 4 hours with them at night, its an experience.
