GalCiv 2 First Impressions

The game has a high learning curve. It is sort of like MOO2, but not really. You can't build everything on a planet (which is annoying to me) and planets have a class that determines how much can be built on them.

The combat isn't tactical... which sucks. The ship building interface is crazy, you can customize everything about ships... which is too much for me to bother with.

I want to highlight the fact that this game includes no DRM/copy protection whatsoever. I'll be keeping this game even if I end up not liking it. Support games with no DRM.

Starforce posted links to torrents of this game in their forum. In spite of everything, they're number one in sales at EB, gamestop has a hard time keeping it in stock as well. ^_^

Stardock, you mean. Starforce is the stupid DRM company that plagues your computer with crap.

Yeah, stardock is the publisher, starforce published links to .torrent files of the game in their forum. There was a story on gamespot about it. Just another example of starforce's evil.

That was my favorite part of it as well. It made me want to buy the game even though I'd never be able to play it and I had no intention of doing so before. I agree with him totally about that, DRM breaking copy protection doesn't increase sales, it punishes people for buying your software.
