The trailer for Underworld Evolution looks pretty cool, and Selene is one beautiful, ass kicking vampire. I will definitely see this one, regardless of the reviews.

I really enjoy Dark Action Hero movies; Blade 1 and 2, Batman (and BMBegins), The Matrix, Sin City's Marv, Darkman, Ash from Evil Dead, Equilibrium, Underworld, etc.

I thought the first one was a bit of a let down. If the action is good, it should be worth seeing at as a matinee (sp?).

2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!

I've watched a few teasers and read a little and it looks to have a ton more action.

That's cool. I will check out Underworld 2 Jan. 20th.
And then there's Bloodrayne, Jan. 6th, 2006. It's an action movie, based on a video game, made by Uwe Boll who's already butchered a number of films according to others, none of which I've seen. I will give this a try and hope Bloodrayne at least has some cool action scenes.

I just saw BloodRayne, hoping Uwe Boll would break his bad movie streak with actors like Michael Madsen. It turns out, he hasn't. The fight scenes zoom into people's arms and legs, so who knows what's happening onscreen, the acting is stiff, bad dialog, even by Madsen (as though he's barely interested, reading lines from cue cards), and the story is dull. Had there been more action with better camera views, this could've been salvaged. As it is, it joins the ranks of failed video game movies. At least there's some so-so blood FX, and Loken as Bloodrayne looks good, but that's about it.

I couldn't believe Madsen gave such a monotone, bad performance in Bloodrayne, considering his great role in Donnie Brasco, starring Al Pacino and Depp. It's as though he knew what a bad film it would turn out to be, so he just acted poorly, speaking every word properly, like they do in the Star Wars prequels.

Bloodrayne was painful to watch. I think Underworld 2 will kick its ass.

I'll be going to see Underworld 2 regardless of the reveiws. Underworld is a dark hero movie I actually like... I was totally anti-vampire anything because some of my friends were major Anne Rice and Buffy freaks and I happen to hate both those things.

There's going to be a Darkness movie, I've heard. I know for a fact there will be a Darkness game...either way given the source material that would be VERY dark action movie.

Im actually really disappointed that the Bloodrayne movie blew cause I myself am a good fan of the games.
I also am a great fan of Madsen and Ben Kingsley. Madsen was great on the show TILT while I loved Kinglsey in House of Sand and Fog.

I enjoyed the first Underworld a lot and I like the idea of a sequel a lot.

I am wondering how they are going to incorprate Selnes Lycan/vampire boyfriend into the sequel.

I see now that the circumstances of one's birth is irrelevent. It is wat you do with the gift of life that makes you who you are.

I haven't seen him in any of the commercials. That makes me worry. It pisses me off to no end when they cut out characters in sequels with absolutely no explanation as to why.

I saw Underworld for free and I was still pissed by the end of it. I'm not going to waste my time with the next installment.

Michael Corvin/Scott Speedman's character is said to return in the sequel. I've read his part will supposedly have more action scenes...
Selene/Kate Beckingsdale also has more martial arts fights this time, rather than just gun fights.

Underworld 2 is supposed to have more action, according to Len Wiseman, the director of both films.

I was just worried they would have him die somehow, or they would have some bogus reason for him to go bad or something.

Underworld Evolution was good enough, but could've had a more complex story, like the first. Didn't feel as epic as the first film, with less main characters it seemed, though it was good, thanks to the good acting, werewolves, gargoyle/bat vampire/Marcus, decent action, Selene and lots of impalements and R rated gore. For fans of the first film, there's some decent action, lots of gunfire.

Does the movie have any more music from NIN like it did in the advertisement? I love NIN and all, but coupling it with Underworld: Evolution made me take the movie a little less seriously. I don't know if I want to wait to rent Underworld Evolution or see in theaters because at some places movie tickets are cheaper than renting a new release.

No NIN songs in the film, it was just that one advertisement. If you thought the first was so-so, you'll probably think the same of the sequel. Looking back, it was decent. I wish they used some more color in the film. There was more action this time, but the bat vampire was the highlight of the film. Some cool action scenes.
