XBOX 360 Console !

What's to say, I preordered mine today . They're going to be harder to get than the PS2 from what I hear. In fact, the EB games that is in my town is only getting twenty (and I was like number 13 on the list already). It should be a good system, with the wireless controllers, wifi, free xbox live (at least that's what I heard), and the 160 or so games that should be out with in the first three months of it's release. It should be somewhat upgradeable and customizable as well. The games look interesting (Xbox has "confirmed" that there will be a new Halo, Fable, Project Gotham Racing, and possibly another Jade Empire for the console. They also are making games like Dead or Alive 4, Quake 4, Perfect Dark Zero, Demonik, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Prey, Ghost Recon III, the list goes on and on. Before you go off on a tangent about PS3, I plan on getting it too but think I will enjoy the Xbox 360 better (besides it comes out first ). Your thoughts on the console?

It's a new Sega Dreamcast, only not as impressive visually as the Dreamcast was. It's going to take off at first and die when the PS3 comes out. Nothing personal, but only 4 years out of a console before replacement? Please. Microsoft is jumping the gun. Badly. Even the 3DO went longer before the (planned) replacement.

No effin' way. Microsoft has the great XBOX live online support, and the 360 hardware looks like it's gonna be solid. Microsoft also has the $$$ to compete with Sony, unlike Sega did. It's gonna do well, without a doubt. Microsoft is "Jumping The Gun" and releasing before PS3 because it's a huge advantage to do so. It's smart.

I liked my PS2, but I'll take a wait-and-see attitude with the PS3. The PS2 had a lot of great games (and tons of shit), but was an underwhelming system graphically. The Dreamcast games mostly looked as good if not better (the ports to PS2 from DC were embarassing)

If I see one more PS2 game ruined by excessive jaggies...

I am split on the 360 vs. PS3 debate right now. I might end up getting neither and just buying a new computer, I don't know.

c) Microsoft already stated it will release Halo 3 on the day the PS3 launches.

Oh, and the 360 isn't worth buying unless you get the 400 dollar one. Because without the hard drive, it's worthless.

If I'm getting a 360, it will be when the price drops from 400, because that shouldn't take too long.

While I agree that the year ahead showing can be good, as will the the other point, out and out stating when Halo 3 will come out is a huge mistake. That means it WILL be rushed out the door. Hell, what if Sony decided to pull what Sega did with the Saturn? Yeah, it would be bad for Sony, but it would also destroy Halo's credibility. There is also the fact that releasing it on PS3 day WILL CAUSE CHAOS. Like PS2 day squared. This is all assuming Sony manages to make enough units this time. If they don't, it will turn ugly. Imagine 2 million people camping outside stores for 2 days. Then 2 fanboys cross, a mob ensues, and the police are called. All it will take is someone saying the words "Killzone" and either "RULZ" or "SUXS" in front of an opposite fanboy. In all seriousness, though, releasing a mega game on the sale of an enemy console probably won't spark sales very much for the game. Also, what if Rockstar pulls a GTA game out of there asses for the PS3 launch?

I think it would be better if they finish Halo 3 months before the PS3 comes out, and then no one will be happy about having to wait for it.

Wha? I don't get what you're saying.

Releasing Halo3 the same day at the PS3 is an aggressive move...and probably the best thing Microsoft could do to knock some of the wind out of Sony's sails during it's PS3 launch.

Yeah bundles are expensive Geeze So is just getting the Premium System which Is what i would have to get Want the Hard Drive and what not dont care much to have to have the wireless Controller now wireless ethernet would be nice.
