Call Microsoft and tell them the serial number. It might be under warranty.

1-800-4MYXBOX, Your covered, as M$ extended the warranty for like 3 or 4 years. If not, theres a fee to fix it.

Seems like they are always having problems with their computers. Must be made by Microsoft.

Yeah the guy started making a big deal about and i went ahead and did it online and it didnt have a warrenty so its going to cost $100 to send to microsoft. So that brings up another subject should i send it to microsoft or should i find a shop or something that can fix it.

no no ring of death i think i just need a new drive. Cause i was talking to the xbox guy about it and and he says that it sounds like the drive just burnt up and when a drive burns up it dosnt count a as a hardware failure.

I would have called them and said it doesn't work. Try that approach. Be vague on what it does.

Im sorry for bringing up an old thread but i fixed my 360. Yeah with nothing but thick paper. I saw a video on youtube about a guytalkiong about how a magnet in the drive and come out of place cause shitty glue and i figured lets try to knock it back in place. and it worked.
