Favorite movie seen in a theater?

For me, it would have to be Star Wars. I was only about ten, and my sister took me to see it. We didn't have a movie theater in the small town where I lived, so we had to drive to a bigger town about twenty minutes away. It wasn't the first movie I'd ever seen in a theater, but it was pretty close. I was absoutely amazed by the special effects, and I loved the story, too.

Years later, I also saw Jurassic Park in a theater. Although I've seen it on DVD since then, and it's still a good movie, there's no way a television can capture the sheer vastness of that T-Rex.

I remember seeing Jurassic Park in the theater. Everyone was blown away by the pupil dilation effect.

As for best movie I've seen in the theater, I would have to go with Star Wars when it was rereleased in the 90s. It was interesting reliving my youth, seeing the differences and watching the kids experience it for the first time.

Gosh... there were so many movies that were AMAZING in the theater.

My first clear memory of a "larger than life" movie on the big screen was "The Empire Strikes Back".

I will agree with the OP that Jurassic Park was unreal on the big screen. OH, Titantic is another that is best viewed in the theater.

Lastly, the "Lord of the Rings" Trilogy is best viewed on the big screen. DVD doesn't do the cinematography justice.

Star Wars.

I'm not saying it is the best movie I have ever seen, but it had the most lasting impression on me at that age and time. Incredible for it's era!
