Final Fantasy Advent Children

I figured I'd put this in Gaming since gamers are liable to be more knowledgable about the upcoming movie.
Some are worried it might ruin their perception of the game *coughdelusionaltifaandcloudloverscough* but I personally don't give a damn! I can't wait!

*chuckles* Jenna Lynne *more chuckles*....nah jk, its a cute name heh

Aite now as far as Advent Children goes i think its going to be the first movie that accurately portrays the FF story and style. And no Spirits Within isnt the only movie out there, there are two FF animes out there, possibly more, not sure. I think this because i've seen quite a few trailers for it already, and just by looking at it, it just gives you the FF final we all come to kno and love. Also the fact that i saw one of the characters cast a magic spell at Cloud while he was on his bike, something the other FF movies definitely lacked.

FFX was great, but very by-the-numbers, and FFX-2 was horrible, with all of it's crap music and characters. (girl power!? ugh...) good for little girls (and dorks who bust a nut to cartoon chicks with cleavage) i guess.

I have high hopes for FFXII. FFXI rocks, considering it's an MMORPG, they actually managed to get in a pretty good story line (I only wish the protagonist had a cooler name. Shadow Lord is a little...lacking...). Even if you don't like the story, you have to admit it's a helluva lot better than FFX-2. I think Jennifer, Jenny, Jenny-kins, and Jenna-Lynne would all agree with me, though I hear they're all quite mad. Mad as in insane.

Anywho, I'm ecstatic over the release of Advent Children (Japan, this summer), as far as I've seen, it doesn't seem like they'll mess up the storyline. 'Only thing that bothers me is Cloud's outfit, they should have kept it the same. I'm getting the sub as soon as it comes out, which will probably be like, one day after its Japanese release.

I'm just messin' with you.

Anyway, you'll only like FFXI if you're into MMOs, otherwise you'll hate it. The cool thing about FFXII though is that it takes place in the Final Fantasy Tactics world (St. Ivalice and all that jazz), so there are Viera and things like that. Though to my understanding, the battle system is relatively the same as the classic FFs. Then again I heard they were trying to go in a "different direction"...

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

It hasn't been confirmed if Cid, Red XIII, or Yuffie appears in the movie. I liked Nanaki alot but if he did appear in the movie he'd probably look stupid in the graphics.

Are you talking about Red XIII's age? He's only 48/46? which is sixteen in strange talking fire cat species years.
And Vincent isn't that old. He was around when Hojo and Proffessor Ghast were. Hojo is Sephiroth's father and Ghast is Aerith's father. So Vincent isn't that old... who <I>are</I> you talking about?

Well he did live more than five hundred years, because throughout the game he was 48 years old, so at the "500 years later" part, he'd be 548 years old. My guess would be that he would live even longer because at the end of that little cutscene thing he didn't just drop dead.
