MANLIEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR.


ALSO; saw the venom preview for Spider Man 3. And the trailer for Pathfinder.

I'm relatively certain that there were more naked men running around in ancient Greece than naked women. But it does seem like it's the manliest movie EVER, not just of the year. FOR SPARTA goddamnit!

Subnote - I've yet to see the movie.

I heard from my friends that it was overdone and hyped too much.

Oh yeah, it was over the top. But it was over the top in the way Army of Darkness was over the top: over the top in pure awesomeness. The offset colours, the unique battle sequences, and it truly does have a video game feel to it with ninjas, giants and all other forms of manly things that look sweet getting stabbed with spears.


As far as it's hype, just don't go in expecting this movie to answer your life. Don't even go in expecting a twisting plot and rich character development. Just expect to have fun and want to stab something with a spear after you're done.

Im excited to see this movie, I like stabbing shit and putting logs in the road.

I actually just read the entire image (which is huge, btw) and the end was hilarious.

I just saw it last night. It was really good. It was everything I expected it to be and then some. Definitely, the best movie this year so far. I think it's going to be very hard for any movie to top it this year.

I like how the guy didn't know what the title 300 was for, and then mentioned the 300 soldiers. What an idiot.

The movie was great, though.

The only fake part to the man muscles was they added a bit more lighting. I think that's awesome.
The movie was completely bad ass, I loved how they slowed down the main parts of killing and the humor was in the right places.
Stop complaining about there not being enough naked women! You get that in every other film...there are barely any movies with naked men compared to those with naked women...it's not fair.
Also, the movies with naked men are usually disgustingly naked...such as Borat and Jackass. We need naked men that aren't disgusting but are just freakin' manly as fuck. So thumbs up to this one...even though I'm not into muscular guys.

8-1chan (aka 7chan) the number of get matches up with the number their movie/tv board has. Plus the memes suck compared to 4chan's /b/

The heavy metal music didn't fit the feel of the movie at all. The movie kicked ass and then ran out of steam towards the end.

To be honest, I thought it fit the feel of the movie perfectly. What type of music would you have played during the battle scenes? Enya?

I assume you're talking about power metal? Either that or Iron Maiden. I can't see Iron Maiden working too well. Power metal would work but in turn would increase the gayness of the movie.

Wasn't there a point where someone ran to the hills? They could have played "Run to the hills". For night parts they could have played "living after midnight" by Judas Priest. For bloody parts they could have played "sabbath bloody sabbath".
