Personally, I think it's gonna suck. They really ought to have left it Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

Keira Knightley is a poor actress. But not as bad as Lisa Nova acting Keira Knightley.

I saw the first movie and liked it a lot, but I had no desire to see the second one and probably won't see the third.

I dunno, I liked the second one (first one was better, though), I think the third movie will be decent. But it should definitely end there.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I thought both of the previous flicks were good. I'm looking forward to the third.

I liked both of them. Isn't Keith Richards in the third one, as Jack Sparrow's father? That will be interesting if that's the case.

I've had no problem with any of the acting in the first two movies.

I just heard about it. That sounds like it's gonna be funny. I wonder what kind of daddy-issues Jack has.

I have to see it, because of the ending of the second movie.

That ending pissed me off. At least the first one had an ending where the PROBLEM WAS SOLVED, and you weren't left in mystery. Ahh.

Well, the second one wasn't supposed to have an ending (the first one was, because they had no way of knowing if it'd be popular enough to warrant a sequel), it was specifically intended to transition into another movie. So...that's why.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I just hate cliffhangers. So much.

Especially in books, and the sort of cliffhangers that bother you to death, because it was a bad event to end on.

Like, in the Eragon books. The second book, Eldest, left a BIG cliffhanger. True, it makes me want to read the thirt ten times more, but it also just makes me mad. Not to mention how terrible the movie was.

Cliffhangers in books reminds me of a few Stephen King stories that don't exactly tie up all the issues. I'd say his most recent one to leave you hanging was Cell.

There you have it. Despite how angry it makes people, it increases the probability that people will get the next installment. People always want to know how it ends but if it cleaned up neatly at the end of each book, you'd have a choice whether or not you want to read another adventure. Cliffhangers ensure you'll have a sizable audience next time and I do rather like them. In life, things don't clean up neatly at the end of things so it's not odd that a story wouldn't either.

Well, Stephen King books don't have cliffhangers, because cliffhangers always return to resolve it. Rather, his just end that way. Largely to be realistic or prey on a very key horror aspect that nothing that's bad simply goes away. Horror often highlights the futility of mankind and if it ended happily, or tied up issues, it'd only make us feel more powerful - the opposite feeling horror is meant to instill.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I enjoyed the first Eragon book, but I'm not really into the second. I don't like Paolini's style of writing or Eragon.

Eragon is a fanboy's Gary Stu version of Garion from David Eddings' Belgariad.
