What's the significance of your username?

Throughout my history with ASE all but two of my usernames started with the letters J-E-N. My first avatar featured Jenova from Final Fantasy 7. For a brief time I used the name Narcissa because a friend of mine accused me of being narcissistic.

It's probably not too hard to figure out why all my other names start out as Jen (e.g. Jenova, Jennova, Jenesis, Jenocide). LOL

Mine actually came from a dream I had when I was about twelve.

I was walking down the street, and a bush next to me began rustling. I went to see what it was, and out jumped a pale, black-haired man in blue and yellow spandex with a curly red pipecleaner arm. He started to chase me down the street, waving the horrid red pipecleaner arm, yelling "Froogle Doop!".

When I was...11 or so I created a handful of furry characters to use on the Sonic fandom. Kisma was meant to be my alias and main character, being an extended version of the baby fox kit I used to play named Kit (in one of the versions of Artie, Kit is now his daughter). Artemis was meant to be her helper/servant but I took a liking to him and took his name as my internet alias. Been that way ever since.

on ASE, I have always been free zombie in some form or another, which happens to be my standard name on most of the Anglo-Saxon intarweb. It has no connection to the Real Life at all, I just invented it as an "interesting" user name - since when is a being trapped between life and death free ?
The free part has a certain significance since I am a strong believer in free software (and individual freedom in general), and the name was actually first used on gnome-look.org, a site dedicated to artwork for the free desktop gnome.

One of my friends refers to me as a propeller-head. That's his term for computer geek. Not many of my friends are into tech, so I got stuck with the name. I thought it was appropriate to use, considering this is a tech forum.

Aika was a song that I thought was the greatest thing since sliced bread way back when (it was on probably my first burned cd). This is actually the only place I go by Aika, but it'd feel weird changing it because I've had it for so long. I use poppyseed for pretty much everything else that requires a username (aim, logins, etc.). I don't really remember how that one came about except it involved a friend's party a loooong time ago, and a parrot named Yoshi...
