New Sonic the Hedgehog on Xbox 360

I downloaded the demo for this game and it kicks ass! They took out all of the girly save the animal bullshit from the originals and made it completely 3D (like most of the other new sonic games). Just playing this game made me sweat. Your reflexes have to be really fast to get though it. I played the demo quite a few times just because it was so good. The environments look great and the controls are really intuitive. My only complaint is that manually moving the camera is too slow. This is definately going to be a good title for 360.

Sonic only lives in 2D for me. I've played those 3D Sonic games and they suck.

I'm the resident Sega/Sonic fanboy, and I can tell you this: From my limited (7 minutes) playtime of the demo, it blows. Hard. The story is already set to be the worst ever, and the gameplay is in it's current state very plodding. Yet the camera still blows. It's essentially a spiffed-up Sonic Adventure, minus to fun or story. I'm still going to buy A.S.A.P., but I shouldn't.

The whole...saving the animals thing was the entire point of practically all the Genesis games. And the TV shows. and the Comics. and everything that is Sonic =\

I adore Sonic, I grew up with the fellow and all. But 3D Sonic continues to repeatedly butcher the old school Sonic by ditching it's story/heart to try and get some ratings. Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 were fun, but they aren't 100% Sonic in my eyes. BAH.

I don't know anything about this new game, and probably never will since I can't afford the systems it'll be on (unless Wii is one of them?). But Sonic Heroes sucked, Shadow the Hedgehog sucked, I'm willing to bet the new game is more selling out for more sales.

The Wii is getting its own Sonic game. I'm pretty happy about that.

I think you can be Super Sonic in it as well.

I don't think they could make a better Sonic in 3D rather than 2D because lets face it, 2D is the way Sonic is meant to be played.

In fairness, SH didn't suck so much as it was all that Sonic Adventure was; while subracting roughly 1/2 of the fun, 4/2 of the good plot development and was about 100% of a murderer of SA2's story. But SHtH did blow, I'll agree. But anyways, picture SatAM but replace the characters with a more SoJ one and you pretty much there.

It isn't, however, Sonic 2006, but rather the less hyped (and more likely the better of the two) Wild Fire.

I downloaded the demo, and its horrible. Sonic is a excellent 2D game, and thats how it should stay.
