Launch Titles for PS3?? Old Sat Mar 25, 2006 1:59:30 PM #16607 Perm Link
Hey guys whatsup i knew that the launch titles obviously are horrible for the 360 but i was also pondering, what launch titles would the PS3 bring us? Obviously i thought MSG4 (Metal Gear Solid 4) would be one if you guys havent seen the trailer for it here it is (GODLY)

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7406621438915516999&q=metal+gear+solid+4 (an 8 minute preview) i think that if this is

what most of the starting launch titles will be like i think we have a unanimous winner dont ya think? Anyways tell us what you think other launch titles might be for the PS3!

I hope Sony fails this one. Sony sucks as a company now. Too much DRM. Besides, the system is going to sell for much more than the Xbox 360. Ohh, Bluray will prob lose out on the format war because I bet most of the porn industry is going with HDDVD.

Porn decides the format... look at Beta vs. VHS.

2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!

However, you must not forget that Sony has won out with less superior hardware twice before, because flagrant idiots will buy it and continue to support it regardless of the systmes power or games.

I can't help but wonder if Nintendo might actually come from behind. Microsoft has already shot themselves in the foot with the undersupply, Sony has already warned retailers that they won't be able to produce anywhere near as many units as consumers will want so the same situation may occur. Hardly any systems available, hardly any games as well.

Nintendo will be releasing a system that can play all of people's old favorites, along with a controller that isn't scary to newcomers, plus it will launch with the new zelda game! Not to mention, the games will be at least $20 cheaper than 360 games because the hardware isn't as extreme so the production values won't have to be as high.

Honestly, I'd much rather have a $250 system with $40-$50 games than a $400 system with $60-$70 games, or even worse a $600 system with $60-80 games (PS3 could be around this much).

Especially when they are just straight ports of PS2 and X-Box games (entire 360 launch line-up. There isn't one game on their you couldn't have done on an X-Box and a good majority of them could be done on the PS2 [and thus, the Dreamcast as well!]) or when making them HD and adding $10 to the price makes them look worse (T.H. American Wasteland) but morons still flock to the system. And the PS3 launch will be 4 times worse.

You have to understand that not only will the revolution be playing next-gen games but also old ones. I've heard so far they have Sega Genisis working and probably others. I still give it a thumbs up. Thumbs Up

(But I give the controller a thumbs down Thumbs Down)
