Yes Sam it is a bad ass game. Rockstar is gonna have a hell of a time trying to make the next GTA better than San Andreas, but I'm sure they'll think of something. Perhaps a GTA: Online...

Yeah it is an awesome game, but I would have liked it better if you were still Tommy Versetti

I agree dude, Tommy kicked ass. Imo, CJ sucked as a character. CJ would just say "Whatever." in a lot of cutscenes. Whatever? Oh that's really witty. I totally missed Tommy's funny, wise ass comments. CJ had a few funny comments, but as a whole they weren't nearly as funny as Tommy's comments.

I knew CJ wouldn't be a very good character, bc if your main character is some ghetto thug, there's not much room for witty and intelligent banter. Not to stereotype, but gangstas are basically limited to saying stuff like "Yeah homie." and "Whaddup dawg."

Imo Rockstar should just stick to the mafia theme. Imo the mafia, especially the Italian mafia, are far more interesting subjects to base a game on than the gangs in SA. Plus with the mafia theme, they can make the story as wild as they want. But with a gangsta theme, Rockstar seems to be overly concerned with making it realistic and credible. Imo that's boring. We want over the top stories and characters, like Tommy.

I love the GTA series, not so much for the story and characters, but for all the freedom the game allows. GTA:SA rules. How many games let you explore a huge world, with night and day cycles, with sportbikes, choppers/cruisers, cars and trucks, a jetpack, ATV's, bicycles, boats, planes, helicopters, etc. Nevermind the fact you can walk or run besides.

I still can't believe they only had a cessna water airplane as the only plane/jet in GTA: VC.

Yeah. Once I got the jetpack and airstrip opened up, I kinda stopped playing the missions and have been messing around with all the rides since then. I'll have to finish the missions one of these days... It's just that I'm having more fun just exploring the game world.

I recently got this game for both X Box and PC and I have to say, I was completely surprised by how good it was. Not that I don't like the GTA series, I absolutely loved the last two. I was not excited about this one because I have never been a fan of the whole "gangster" theme that was popular in the 90s and I wasn't looking forward to playing as one in the game, but it was surprisingly not as bad as I was expecting. Rockstar thankfully kept the levels down to a reasonable amount and they made the game appealling to all types of people, all while turning the "gang life" into a typically fun GTA experience. I have completely decimated the X Box version, doing all of the story missions and a majority of the side stuff as well. Now I am taking on the PC version (playing with my X Box controller I might add) and cheating a bit just to give myself some fun because I've already gone through the entire game without cheating and I don't feel bad doing it.

I also feel I should give my two cents on this whole "Hot Coffee" scandal that has been getting major headlines lately. First of all, I think the fact that Rockstar even considered putting this into their game at any point is really irresponsible on their part. The fact that they actually DID code this and put it into the game, even if it wasn't activated, is downright shameful. But for all of that angst, I don't think Rockstar should be held accountable for it, only for the fact that it was not a readily available portion of the game through any means other than cracking the code. It has not been unlocked in either of the console verions (yet) by any form of code, and it took somoene creating a patch on the PC version (kudos to the guy who actually did it) for it to come to light. I have seen the video of the mod and it really is incredibly graphic and should NOT be in a video game that is intended for the masses. I know I might sound contradictory, but I feel strongly both ways. I feel that Rockstar should not have let the game ship with this code in it, but I also feel that legally they shouldn't be held responsible because it wasn't an intended part of the game as it was presented.

Rockstar has always been known for controversial games. It's possible this is just another attention getter, or one of the programmers secretly put in the scene without Sam Houser's approval, but I wouldn't doubt the first possibility.

I haven't seen the scene, but I'm sure they'll be selling more GTA:SA's after this. Do I think it was a good move by Rockstar to include such an option? I don't think it will hurt Rockstar, the king of controversy in video games and non-censorship. Personally, I don't care if the code is in the PS2 version or not, but I bet a lot of (on the fence) Mother's will be taking GTA:SA away from their kids after hearing this on the news.
