Falling Down

Another great movie, albeit a very dark one. This movie chronicles a day in the life of a man (whom, according to the credits, should be known as "D-FENS") who just...snaps. He gets fed up while he's sitting in his car in a traffic jam, and just gets up, leaves, and decides to go see his ex-wife and daughter, since it's his daughter's birthday (she's like, ten). I happen to love this movie quite a bit. Michael Douglas plays D-FENS, and Robert Duvall plays a cop, who happnes to be retiring this same day.

Michael Douglas kicks everyone's ass. Everyone.

Got it on DVD. One of my faves. "Take some shooting lessons, asshole."
hehe, classic.

The rocket launcher part is the best, because the black kid has to tell him how to use it.

Then he accidentally shoots it down the drain thing.

I just watched this movie again recently and I forgot how funny the movie is! There are some absolutely classic lines! "We're not the same, I'm an American, you're a sick asshole", "And now you're gonna die, wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?", "Well, if you maybe wrote in fucking English I would fucking understand you", the list goes on and on! I think people forget this movie is almost a comedy with the amount of one-liners and sheer insanity that goes on.

The best part is when those two Gang members want his briefcase because he is on a rock with writing that says

"This is fucking private property, no tresspassers, this means fucking you."

Douglas responds with
"maybe if you wrote it in fucking english then I could fucking understand it."

then he whacks the shit out of them both then chases them down the hill yelling

"" YOU FORGOT THE BRIEFCASE, WHAT ABOUT THE BRIEFCASE."


HAHAHA...too funny. Damn good movie!
